RADMA is focused on the needs of researchers, practitioners and students of research technology and innovation management. It is charity funded by proceeds of the R&D Management Journal and provides a number of grants and funding for post-graduate students.
Congratulation to our RADMA scholar
We are delighted that Roman Schumacher, University of Cambridge, has been awarded a PhD. His thesis title is: “Unveiling the Impact of Supply Chain Complexity on Product Safety Risk”. Roman is now working in supply chain management at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine.

Funding – deadline 28th February
We are pleased to announce that the call for the 2025 Doctoral Studies Programme is now open, so get your application in before the 28th February 2025.
Applications are reviewed in the first instance by two non-trustee experts in the field of R&D Management and then the shortlist reviewed by two RADMA trustees and the final shortlist is validated by at least one other trustee. For more information and FAQs check the RADMA website.
Research support – deadline 31st December 2024
The deadline for the January 2025 review for Postgraduate Student Research Support is the 31st December 2024.
The award provides support to talented mid-study Masters and PhD students for expenses directly related to:
- Support for research: up to £500 is available for Masters and £1000 for PhD projects. The award will cover costs related to specific research activities, for example: data collection and analysis, training and associated travel and expenses
- Conference funding: up to £500 where the candidate is presenting a paper or £250 attendance only or presenting a poster. The award will cover costs related to attending the conference, specifically conference fees, travel, subsistence and accommodation
