Leading journals will be participating in the tracks at the R&D Management Conference and several have special issues based on the theme of the track.

R&D Management under disruption and uncertainty
The intersection of disruption, uncertainty, and R&D management is the theme of the conference and also a special issue for R&D Management. The guest editors have a session at the conference to talk to those interested in submitting a paper 2022. Call opens March 2022, submissions open 1st December 2022 – 31st January 2023.
The challenges and opportunities of high-skilled migration
The contribution of high-skilled migrants to innovation activity and economic growth is to be discussed in a track at the conference and will be the theme of a special issue in the Journal of Industrial and Business Economics.
Sustainability and SMEs: opening the black box
“Sustainability and SMEs: what roles for entrepreneurship and innovation?” is the theme for a track at the conference and also a special issue for the Journal of Management and Organization. There will be an opportunity to meet the editors at the conference.
Strategic Leadership and New Pathways for Radical Innovations”
There is mounting pressure on strategic leaders to step up and take a central role in prioritising innovation. This is the theme for one of the conference tracks Track 2.13 Strategic Leadership and New Pathways for Radical Innovations. Co-chair Mariano (Pitosh) Heyden talks about the theme. There is a special issue on this subject in Research Policy. Deadline 15th November 2022.
The dead end of classical innovation management and unsustainable innovation
Technovation has a special issue looking at innovation management and sustainability. Starting: October 1st, 2021 Closing: March 31st, 2022.
