Dean of the Faculty of Science and Chair of Innovation of Tech-driven Ecosystems at Open Universiteit of the Netherlands
Prof.dr.ir. Petra de Weerd-Nederhof is Dean of the Science faculty at Open Universiteit (OU, the Open University of The Netherlands and Flanders) and holds the chair in Innovation of Tech-Driven Ecosystems in the Information Science Department.
Petra combines this role and function with membership of the EIASM board (since April 2023), the Investment Committee of the Dutch Water Innovation fund and ancillary activities for the Dutch Accreditation Council (RVA, member of Committee for Accreditation) and Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences (Supervisory Board), all since 2021. She is also a longstanding member of KIVI – the Royal institute for engineers in The Netherlands, and recently became active as voluntary board member for their network of female engineers (KIVI NVI).
